On the 14 of September 2024, we came together as a family to celebrate the Archdiocese Family Day. It was a day filled with joy, reflection, and gratitude as we took stock of the many blessings and accomplishments within our community..
The highlight of the day was a beautiful mass led by our beloved Archbishop Anthony Muheria, during which we reflected on the milestones we have achieved together. A major accomplishment that stood out was the completion of the Nyaatha Plaza building a symbol of our collective effort and faith.

On June 29th, St. Augustine Sirima Parish was alive with joy and celebration as the community gathered to honor 13 jubilee weddings and the remarkable 50-year priesthood of Rev. Fr. Elvino Ortolan. The day was filled with blessings and cherished memories as families and friends came together to mark these significant milestones.
Fr. Elvino, reflecting on his half-century of dedicated service, shared a heartfelt message: “In sharing, we care for one another.” His words resonated deeply with the congregation, emphasizing the importance of unity and compassion within the community. Karemeno Parish full of joy and celebration on June 30th as the community came together to commemorate 16 weddings and 200 confirmations. The grand event was marked by the presence of the main celebrant, Archbishop AM, who led the ceremonies with grace and solemnity. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of unity and spirituality, as families and friends gathered to support and celebrate the newlyweds and the confirmed individuals. Archbishop AM delivered an inspiring sermon, emphasizing the importance of commitment and faith, and his words resonated deeply with the congregation.

Nyeri Metropolitan Youths Mass 2024
The Nyeri Metropolitan Youths Mass was a jubilant occasion, held on the 23rd of June at the Quo Vadis Youth Hub, opposite Dedan Kimathi University. The event, organized by the Ecclesiastical Province of Nyeri, attracted over 10,000 young people from across the country. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and a sense of community as the youth gathered to celebrate their faith and strengthen their spiritual bonds.
During the mass, Archbishop Anthony Muheria delivered an inspiring message to the young attendees. He emphasized the importance of embracing the Word of God, prayer, and the Eucharist to gain the strength needed to face life’s challenges. His words resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging them to find solace and resilience through their faith. The mass was a remarkable gathering that underscored the unity and devotion of the youth in the region, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.

NYAATHA PLAZA GRAND OPENING
The wait is over! Nyaatha Plaza in Nyeri town has officially opened its doors on the 1st of May 2024. This impressive seven-story building was inaugurated by His Excellency, Archbishop Hubertus van Megen, the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan, with the ceremony hosted by our own Archbishop Anthony Muheria. We were honored to have the Governor of Nyeri County and the Member of Parliament for Nyeri Town in attendance, making this event truly memorable.
Our key anchor tenants, including I&M Bank and Caritas Microfinance Bank, occupy the ground and first floors. The ground to third floors are designated for commercial spaces, while the fourth and fifth floors are designed for Airbnb rentals. The sixth and seventh floors are intended for residential spaces.
Nyaatha Plaza is a versatile commercial building that provides essential rentable space for businesses, fostering entrepreneurial endeavors and job creation. Additionally, the Airbnb rentals within the plaza offer convenient accommodation options, attracting visitors and boosting the local economy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks for your support and interest in Nyaatha Plaza. We are excited to serve the Nyeri community and contribute to the local economy with our diverse offerings. 73 seminarians graduation at Christ the King Major Seminary
On May 2, 2024, Christ the King Major Seminary witnessed a remarkable event as 73 seminarians celebrated their graduation. The joyous ceremony was led by His Grace Archbishop Anthony Muheria, marking a significant milestone for the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri.
The graduates were divided into two groups, with 39 seminarians from the school of philosophy and 34 from the school of theology. This momentous occasion was the culmination of years of rigorous academic and spiritual training, preparing these young men for their future roles in the Church.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri recently celebrated a significant milestone with the ordination of seven deacons and four priests on June 8, 2024. This joyous event took place at Christ the King Major Seminary, presided over by His Grace Most Rev. Anthony Muheria, Archbishop of Nyeri, marking his 20th Episcopal anniversary.
The ceremony saw the ordination of the following Deacons to Priests:
1. Rev. Deacon Stephen Mbugua Ngurabana from Endarasha.
2. Rev. Deacon James Mwangi from Kabiru-ini.
3. Rev. Deacon Kennedy Kamanu from Irigithathi
4. Rev. Deacon Ibrahim Wangai from Karuthi.
5. Rev. Deacon Simon Mbaga from Mukurwe-ini.
6. Rev. Deacon Moses Wachira from Ithenguri
7. Rev. Deacon Wilson Ruoro from Mugunda.
Alongside them, four Seminarians were ordained as Deacons:
1. Seminarian Denis Philip Nganatha from Tetu.
2. Seminarian Daniel Muriithi from Sirima.
3. Seminarian Simon Irungu from Kiamuiru.
4. Seminarian Paul Muturi from Othaya.
Archbishop Muheria, in his address to the newly ordained, emphasized the importance of spiritual nourishment and the centrality of the Eucharist in their ministry. “Always remember to recharge yourselves with prayers and visiting the Eucharist,” he advised. “Also, don’t forget to carry your power bank, which is your mass box.”
The event was attended by hundreds of faithful, family members, and friends who gathered to support and celebrate with the newly ordained. The atmosphere was filled with joy and reverence as the new deacons and priests received blessings and congratulations.
This ordination marks a significant moment for the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri, highlighting the growth and vitality of the Church in the region. The newly ordained Priests and Deacons are expected to bring fresh energy and dedication to their parishes, enriching the spiritual lives of the communities they will serve.

He urged the couples to protect the institution of marriage by living according to principles in the bible.
