World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisation

The Archdiocese of Nyeri joyfully celebrated World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisation (WUCWO), with the Holy Mass presided over by Archbishop Anthony Muheria.

In his homily, the Archbishop reflected on the gift and vocation of womanhood and motherhood, noting that the peace and joy of a family are often reflected through the heart of a mother.

“God has given you the gift of being a woman and a mother. Protect that love so that our families and nation may remain strong.”
He reminded the faithful that Christ, through His teachings, the sacraments, and mature Christian living, is the one who guides humanity away from evil.

The Archbishop challenged Christians to reflect on missed opportunities to help others and encouraged women to become true apostles of peace, love, and service in society.
He further urged women to overcome hatred and division, which he described as tools used to destroy families and communities. He also called upon them to be protectors of the unborn child, advocates for life, and mentors who encourage young girls to value and respect their dignity and youthfulness.

In conclusion, the Archbishop prayed that God may grant women the courage, wisdom, and strength to continue building peace within families and society.
God bless
