On Saturday 14th January 2023 His Grace Most Rev. Anthony Muheria and Archbishop Emeritus Peter Kairo presided over the priestly ordination of 6 priests at Kiamuiru Catholic Parish.
The six ordained priests are, Rev. Michael Mithamo Kingori, REv. George Gitonga Wamuyu, Rev. Alex Murage Wanjiku, Rev. Joseph Waihenya Kirira, REv. Mathew Karimi Njogu and Rev. John Wanjohi Nyawira.
Rev. Fr. Michael Mithamo Kingori is a one of a kind priest in the sense that he is blind. Fr. Mithamo developed complications in 2019 and lost his sight. That however did not dissuade him from becoming a priest.
