Graduation Ceremony at Christ the King Major Seminary
It was a joyful celebration at Christ the King Major Seminary as 87 seminarians graduated, with the Holy Mass presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya, H.E. Archbishop Bert Van Megen.
In his homily, the Apostolic Nuncio reminded the faithful that all are called to follow and believe in the one true God, emphasizing Christ’s words:
“My yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
He encouraged the seminarians to bring people closer to Christ through love, humility, and service, making the Christian journey one of hope and joy.
Addressing the graduates, he acknowledged the challenges of formation and urged them to remain rooted in the love of Christ, noting that when the heart is with Christ, service becomes a joyful way of life rather than a burden.
The Nuncio reminded them that priesthood, like marriage, comes with both joys and challenges, making a strong relationship with God essential. He encouraged them to remain faithful in prayer at all times—whether tired, sick, or discouraged—and to embrace priesthood as a life of sacrifice, commitment, and selfless service.
He concluded by reminding all Christians that life is more about giving than receiving, and that through sacrifice and perseverance, God brings forth abundant life and blessings.
A grace-filled celebration of vocation, dedication, and service to the Church.
God bless
