Family Day, Confirmation & Holy Matrimony – Our Lady of Fatima Mukurwe-ini Parish
It was a joyful celebration at Our Lady of Fatima Mukurwe-ini Catholic Parish as the faithful gathered for Family Day, the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony for 2 couples, and the Confirmation of 211 candidates, with Archbishop Anthony Muheria as the main celebrant.
In his homily, the Archbishop reminded the faithful that God created us to know, love, and serve Him, noting that the newly confirmed are now called to become soldiers of Christ.
He encouraged the young people to allow God to guide their lives and to always be ready to help those in need.
Archbishop also urged all Christians to cultivate hearts that are accommodating, loving, sacrificial, and ready to serve others, while continuing to pray for the country and society. He emphasized the responsibility of parents to guide their children in the right path.
Addressing the newlyweds, he encouraged them to accept one another with love, remain forgiving, and grow in friendship within their marriage.
As the celebration coincided with Mother’s Day, the Archbishop called upon the faithful to honor, respect, and appreciate their mothers despite their shortcomings.
