Family Day Celebrations at Our Lady of the Rosary Doldol Catholic Parish

It was a day filled with great joy and thanksgiving as Our Lady of the Rosary Doldol Catholic Parish celebrated their Family Day, during which 420 candidates received the Sacrament of Confirmation. The solemn Mass was presided over by Archbishop Anthony Muheria.

In his homily, the Archbishop reminded the faithful that in this Year of Hope, God invites each of us to renew our hearts and change our ways. Through Baptism and the Sacraments of the Church, he said, we are cleansed of our sins and strengthened in faith. As the faithful celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation, he urged them to also value and frequently participate in the other sacraments, which continually purify and renew us in God’s grace.

The Archbishop emphasized that true faith is shown through love – a love that places others before ourselves: “That is the meaning of receiving the Holy Spirit,” that is, “The Spirit fills us with love, joy, happiness, and patience.”

He encouraged the Christians to always seek guidance from the Church, to walk in communion, and to have the courage to stand firmly against evil — regardless of who commits it.
